Unexpectedly Long Commissions Post 1.0

RIGHT SO!!! This is my first time doing something like this (involving money); I'm opening art commissions, primarily of the sketch variety but there are other options as well.

I'm not a professional artist, at least not yet, though my current career path doesn't involve this particular sort of work. In any case, this is going to be something of a test run since I don't know how many commissions I might get or how much people are willing to pay. I could go into the reasons about why I'm doing this, BUT that would just bog down the post even further so let's just get to the actual commissions part of this post shall we!!

A: Types of commissions offered (with examples)

***All prices are tentative and negotiable. More complex requests (such as multiple characters and the like) may raise the price slightly. Also fanart/shippy things/terrible things are fine, I'll let you know if you ask for something I'm not willing to do.


1. Basic sketch: $3



Pretty much what it says on the tin. A digital or pencil sketch/drawing.

2. Line art: $5-6



Digitally inked line art (extra dollar is for adding basic color of some kind like in the examples :V).

3. Colored: $8-10



A colored sketch/line art (all digital). Price depends on the scope of the request.

4. Icon coloring: $5 per 15 icons




(full ecats team style set of the last row here)

Aside from Drawing A Thing, I can also color manga/doujin icons if you provide me with panels and color references.


B: Commission Slots

On the off chance that I'm somehow piled with people wanting to give me money while I'm like oh god but how do I draw this many things, I'm going with limited slots. HERE'S WHAT I'M STARTING WITH, it may change depending on how things go. (Will be updated as slots are filled)

Payment will be in USD through paypal because that's pretty much the only way I know how to transfer money over the interwebs. If you can't use paypal or would prefer not to, contact me and we can try and work something out (I'm open to suggestions for alternatives, I'm not super fond of paypal's track record myself). Don't use my gmail account, I have a different email for paypal which I can give to you come time for payment (which will be when I give you the final product that you're happy with).

Do you need the full page or can you de-saturate icons and work with that image?

If you mean like the sort of icons you have for Setsuna there, I should be able to work with that just fine. :|b

Oh cool. Because I want to keep the original layers on the line-art and just have you color within them. I mostly want hair, eyes and skin colored. I have different examples for the hair since... Kaoru Yuki colors it like five different ways.

If you give me the examples I can do some test colors and see what looks good to you. Also which icons would you like colored?

Like I said, just eyes, hair and skin. Don't worry about the clothes for the most part, except for Picture 1. Picture 1 I want in Shell pink. I also included some hair examples that I tested in the past. You can also look at the icons on this account for some idea of the colors Kaori Yuki uses.

The first one is perfect, yeah! Oh also, in Picture 1, it's a bomber jacket so the collar is white while the rest is pink. o/
